The Emirate of Dubai, on 7th July, opened its international borders, ready to welcome its first batch of visitors, following a five-month lockdown, because of the coronavirus.
Among the first flights to touch down the Dubai International Airport was the Emirates flight EK004 from Heathrow, London. Travelers relished a heartfelt welcome with plenty of gifts from the Dubai Tourism.
Seemingly, Emirates has resumed flights to various international destinations, including Glasgow, Dublin, Manchester, and London. Dubai is among the safest cities in the world for visitors and tourists— the city was awarded WTTC stamp.
The WTTC stamp helps international visitors and tourists recognize organizations and governments across the globe that have passed the global health and standardized hygiene protocols. The government has put in place stringent measures to ensure the utmost safety and hygiene for residents and visitors.
The Director-General Dubai Department of Tourism & Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism), His Excellency Helal Saeed Al Marri, emphasized the government’s top priority is safety and wellbeing of travelers and visitors. Hence the strict health and hygiene protocols.
